Meet Maria Chybicki

Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Maria joins the Inner Balance team after many years of public service providing outpatient mental health therapist with the Addison Health Department. Maria is a native Spanish speaker. She is passionate about using this skill to serve those who may find language a barrier to mental health services. She is especially interested in acculturation and assimilation issues within Hispanic-American cultural's.

Maria takes an eclectic approach to her work having been trained in CBT, DBT, and Motivational Interviewing. Using a collaborative approach, she tailors her interventions to the individual needs of each client. Maria is warm, attentive and nurturing. These traits help you feel at ease quickly and help build a trusting working relationship. Maria will teach you how to set boundaries, teach self care and cope with many of life stressors.

While not at the office, Maria enjoys spending time with loved ones, dancing and outdoor adventures.
